We are looking for a talented and competitive outside Sales Engineer that thrives in a technical environment. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable making cold calls, generating interest, qualifying prospects, identifying customer needs, following up on proposals and closing sales. Candidate must be able to travel.
Our company has served the high purity water market for 31 years providing equipment, support products and services in the Midwest. This is a unique an rewarding position with a small but innovative growing water treatment company.
Responsibilities:
*Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead followup and outbound cold calls and emails
*Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
*Qualify sales opportunities in terms of customer technical requirements, competition, decision-making process and funding
*Maintain existing client relationships and establish new accounts
*Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to customers and prospective customers
*Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and determine system requirements
*Follow up on outstanding proposals
*Close sales and achieve quarterly goals
*Participate in industry conferences and trade shows as required
Requirements:
*4-year degree required (Engineering or directly related technical field is highly preferred)
*Minimum 3-5 years outside sales experience
*Customer focus
*Strong interpersonal skills
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills
*Strong listening and presentation skills
*Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
*Drivers license with good driving record

*Salary commensurate with experience
