Project Estimator
Overview
To prepare accurate cost estimates for masonry projects and manage financial aspects related to project budgets. Collaborate closely with project engineers and field operations to ensure adherence to financial and production budgets, minimizing out of scope changes and enhancing project efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Project Analysis : Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and scopes of work to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates.
- Budget Development : Create and manage financial and production budgets that align with project expectations and client requirements.
- Collaboration : Work closely with project engineers to communicate potential scope changes and ensure that all alterations are documented and approved before implementation.
- Change Order Coordination : Manage change orders by collaborating with project engineers and field teams to ensure that all adjustments to project scope are accurately documented, communicated, and reflect the financial implications on the project budget.
- Site Visits : Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather data necessary for accurate estimating.
- Utilize Procore : Set up and manage project budgets and estimates within Procore, ensuring that all financial data is accurate and accessible.
- Client Proposals : Prepare and present proposals to clients, ensuring clarity and accuracy regarding costs and scope.
Requirements
- Education : Highschool Diploma/GED Equivalent, required. Pursuing a degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Experience : 1-2 years of experience in estimating or construction is preferred but not required.
- Skills : Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in construction estimating software and MS Office.
- Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly
