Position Summary

The Account Manager oversees a team executing a high level of customer care for a key account in Clyde, Ohio, and will drive the Leadership Engagement Growth & Safety (LEGS) strategy of the Company.

Through strong communication and consistent company support, the Account Manager will focus on five key areas:

• Leadership – Demonstrate leadership and retain the right people to support the growth of our account.
• Employee Engagement – Engage and have direct contact with our workforce every day to create a great employee experience.
• Customer Engagement – Create “Raving Fans” of our client through positive customer relationships.
• Growth – Identify opportunities that improve our client’s services and deliver growth.
• Safety – Proactively lead safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage key operational functions.
• Develop and maintain relationships of trust and engagement with the on-site client.
• Ensure standards for service quality, equipment, safety, and performance are maintained, using cost-effective resources to maximize service levels.
• Implement processes and structure aligned with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
• Develop, monitor, and report on operating costs. Alert key stakeholders of cost and labor overruns, make recommendations, and implement solutions.
• Build a culture of work safety and lead by example through one’s own safe behavior.
• Hire, train, develop, and appraise staff effectively. Take corrective action as necessary and in accordance with Company policy.
• Conduct regular operations and training meetings with all direct reports.
• Manage budget and control expenses effectively.
• Use Microsoft Office–based cost management systems to audit budgets, including labor, supplies, leases, and equipment.

• Understanding of budgeting, labor, and expense management with a basic understanding of financial and accounting practices.
• Demonstrated strong leadership, team building, and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate people and assess and develop employee skills.

Education and Experience

• 5+ years of leadership experience managing complex, multi-site teams.
• Experience in janitorial, distribution services, manufacturing, mechanical, or other service-related industries preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to provide leadership with responsibility for a decentralized workforce.
