Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $17.00 - $17.25 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Knife Sharpener:

• Working at a knife exchange warehouse. claening sanitizing and sharpening knives to be packaged and shipped

• Sharpen, grind, and hone industrial knives and blades to precise specifications

• Inspect blades for wear, damage, and defects to ensure quality and safety standards

• Set up and operate sharpening equipment, including grinders and honing tools

• Maintain consistent blade angles and finishes based on production requirements

• Clean, store, and organize tools and equipment properly

• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements when handling sharp tools and machinery

• Track and document sharpening activity as needed

Available shifts:

Shift Timings - 1st Shift (Day) ,2nd Shift (Evening)

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

• Must be able to stand for 8 plus hours

• Constant bending twisting and lifting

• High school diploma or GED preferred; prior manufacturing or blade sharpening experience a plus

• Basic math and measurement skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions and specifications

• Strong attention to detail, consistency, and safety awareness

• Good time management, teamwork, communication, and mechanical aptitude

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing/production environment with heat, humidity, noise, and exposure to oils or metal particles

• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Background check and drug screening required
