Remote Customer Care and Sales Specialist

As a Remote Customer Care & Sales Specialist for Whirlpool Consumer Services, you will resolve technical inquiries while actively introducing solutions that protect our customers' investments.

In this role, you will leverage our "Save-A-Call" framework to troubleshoot appliance issues, verify owner details, and offer Extended Service Plans (ESP)—delivering peace of mind to consumers while directly impacting lifecycle revenue through consultative sales.

Key Responsibilities & Expectations

• Consultative Sales & Solutions: Educate customers on the benefits of Extended Service Plans (ESP) during in-warranty and out-of-warranty calls, meeting performance goals for plan sign-ups and revenue generation.

• Technical Troubleshooting: Utilize the "Save-A-Call" diagnostic framework to resolve product issues efficiently over phone, chat, and email, minimizing unnecessary service dispatches.

• Full-Time Schedule: Maintain a 40-hour workweek with operational availability Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM EST.

• Systems & Data Management: Perform owner verifications and accurately log records across cloud-based platforms and digital CRM tools.

Qualifications & Ideal Background

• Sales Aptitude: Persuasive communication skills with a track record or comfort in cross-selling, upselling, or promoting service additions.

• Customer Service Experience: Background in remote call centers or high-volume customer-facing roles.

• Technical & Digital Literacy: Proficient in cloud tools (Google Workspace: Gmail, Sheets, Chat) and quick to learn internal CRM systems.

• Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical thinking to diagnose appliance issues live on the line.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

• 1 to 2 years of customer service or consultative sales experience.

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

• Dedicated home office with reliable high-speed internet access.
