Test Engineer III - Crash

Responsibilities
- • Lead and support the engineering test activities by applying engineering principles, experiences and various analysis tools in following established test plans/procedures to test parts/components in area of specialty to determine design feasibility and ensure parts/components meet design acceptance criteria, performance level targets and any applicable regulatory/internal standards.
- • Depending on functional area, have to perform objective and subjective testing by driving.
- • Utilize data acquisition tools to collect data, analyze and report results.
- • Conduct vehicle benchmarking for the purpose of target setting.
- • Perform vehicle tuning and instrument vehicles for objective tests.
- • Analyze and resolve complex problems independently or with minimal guidance.
- • Negotiate with other departments internally and suppliers externally to meet the spec requirements.
- • Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve product and/or processes.
- • Coordinate with design and CAE teams to report results and develop countermeasures.
- • Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology.
- • Travel to client / test sites required.
Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5+ years relevant industry experiences.
- • Education with the following specialties preferred: Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing.
- • Minimum 5yrs experience using Data Acquisition tools.
- • Strong written and verbal communication skills
- • Proficiency in MS office
