Senior Logistics Planner

:

Cleveland-Cliffs has an opening for a Senior Logistics Planner at our Corporate Headquarters located in Cleveland, Ohio. The Senior Logistics Planner will be responsible for the development, coordination and management of day-to-day operations for transportation at Cliffs' managed properties.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Schedule vessel shipments from point of origin to Cliffs receiving docks for all inbound bulk material, working daily with docks and vessel carriers to minimize loading delays.
• Manage delivery expectations with a high volume of transportation.
• Update and send out daily vessel listing schedules.
• Review Bills of Ladings and input loading information in the Vessel Cargo System.
• Keep track of current and future projected dock inventory levels.
• Maintain various spreadsheets including tracking dock loadings and customer and carrier nominations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5-10 years of vessel industry experience.
• Knowledge of railroads, docks and vessel scheduling patterns.
• Should have advanced knowledge of the operating characteristics of vessels.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
