Benefits Administrator
- Responsible for administering the College’s employee benefits programs including: medical, dental, vision, FSA, life insurance, dependent life insurance, accident and critical illness, and retirement plans
- Processes routine benefit enrollments, terminations, and employee communications
- Serves as primary employee contact for routine benefit questions and assists employees with program interpretations, conditions, and resolution of tier 1 issues
- Performs daily review of supporting documentation and approval of benefit transactions for new hire and life event changes
- Provides administrative support for retirement plan distribution requests, enrollments and compliance tracking
- Responsible for the completion and on-going audit of monthly census process
- Responsible for entering select deduction changes into the Banner system
- Provides employees and participants with support on interpretation of program terms and conditions and resolution of issues
- Responsible for the development of monthly For Your Benefit newsletter
- Provides administrative assistance for the development of employee benefit workshops, employee benefit fairs, campus visits, etc.
- Assists with annual open enrollment and special projects
- Assists Manager with the interface of our Benefits Administration platform as well as third-party vendors to effectively manage, maintain and troubles the electronic file submissions
- Assists Manager with audits, reconciliation and processing payments for benefit invoices
- Responsible for content of benefit-related information on KWEB
- Develops materials and facilitates Benefits presentation for new employee orientation
- Responsible for the administration of retiree death benefits
- Prepares reports for select requests, as directed
- Contributes to the Benefits team recommendation, development, review, and implementation of new policies, programs, processes, and procedures, as necessary
- Assists with legislated requirements and adherence to compliance
- Ensures Benefits team continuity during absences and major projects
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High school diploma required
- 3+ years of demonstrated benefits administration experience
