Position Summary:

General Extrusions is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Manufacturing Engineer to lead advanced manufacturing initiatives and act as a Manufacturing Manager. This dual-role position is critical to driving future growth, optimizing production systems, and integrating data-driven decision-making across all aspects of extrusion and fabrication operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze production data through ERP systems to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Leverage large equipment data from CNC, milling, punching, and assembly systems to enhance process performance.
• Lead the planning, creation, and implementation of new manufacturing systems and technologies.
• Support daily production operations while driving long-term strategic improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between engineering, maintenance, and operations.
• Develop and maintain documentation for processes, workflows, and system changes.
• Mentor and guide production teams in adopting new technologies and methods.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with aluminum or metal components.
• Strong proficiency in ERP systems and data analysis tools.
• Hands-on experience with CNC machinery, milling, punching, and assembly processes.
• Proven leadership in managing projects and cross-functional teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies and smart manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards and lean manufacturing principles.
• Ability to translate data insights into actionable production strategies.

Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies and smart manufacturing refers to the ability to work with advanced systems that integrate data, automation, and connectivity to improve manufacturing efficiency and flexibility. This includes:
- IoT (Internet of Things): Real-time data collection from machines and equipment.
- Big Data & Analytics: Using large datasets to optimize production and predict maintenance.
- Cloud Computing: Remote data storage and collaboration.
- Cyber-Physical Systems: Machines that make decisions based on data inputs.
- AI & Machine Learning: Algorithms that automate decisions and improve processes.
- Digital Twins: Virtual models of physical systems for simulation and optimization.
- Advanced Robotics: Collaborative robots (cobots) that work alongside humans.
Smart manufacturing applications include predictive maintenance, real-time monitoring, automated quality control, flexible production systems, and integrated ERP & MES systems.

Salary and Application:

Salary range: $95,000–$150,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
