Responsibilities Of a Senior Consultant May Include The Following

• Driving the monthly close
• Providing timely and accurate reporting.
• Communicating and collaborating with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements

Our Clients Seek Jefferson Wells’ Help In Providing Consultants Who Can Be Hands-on With Some Or All Of The Following Accounting-related Tasks

• General accounting duties include various components of the month-end close processes, including journal entry preparation, reconciliations, account and financial statement analysis
• Preparation/examination or analysis of accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance with GAAP Drive continuous improvement focusing on streamlining, improving and automating processes
• Participation in system implementations or migrations and automation projects
• Preparation of documentation for various accounting processes
• Providing of audit support for external audit, including substantive and controls-related work
• Assisting with acquisition integration – validation of opening balances and subsequent activity
• Provide oversight of accounting treatment for Inventory, Other Assets, Leases, components of A/R, as well as other areas
• Daily cash activity analysis and posting, forecasting

Typical Requirements For Consideration

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
• Minimum 2 years public accounting or four years of industry accounting with progressive responsibilities
• CPA license preferred but not required
• Advanced MS Excel capabilities including comfort with Pivot Table and Lookup functions
• Strong knowledge and experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Hands-on experience with various accounting systems
