We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Technician to join our team in Mentor, OH. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout our machining processes. If you have a passion for quality inspection and a knack for continuous improvement, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough quality inspections of products using various measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers.
  • Perform parts cleaning operation utilizing pressure washing equipment to ensure compliant return shipping standards
  • Process associated documentation including process tags, rework tags, and nonconforming material documents
  • Perform daily audits of processes to ensure standard operating procedures are being followed
  • Disposition nonconforming product
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Perform other quality related duties as needed

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years of inspection experience in an aerospace precision machining environment
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges, and test rigs
  • Ability and willingness to work under direct supervision and in accordance with written instructions and techniques
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection instructions
  • Mechanical aptitude to adjust / repair gages and fixtures
  • Ability to identify / troubleshoot machining issues
  • Ability to work under direct supervision and to follow written instructions and techniques
  • Must be willing to work hands-on
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet time sensitive deadlines
  • Basic mechanical / mathematical aptitude required
  • Basic computer skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
