A Day in the Life of a Delivery Driver at Famous Supply

Starting wage is $26.00/hour! 7:30pm-5:30am, home every day!

This CDL-Driver role will primarily make deliveries from our Famous Distribution Center in Maple Heights. Each evening, your route for the day is uploaded onto a company-provided Smartphone that provides turn-by-turn navigation and delivery details.

Candidate must have verifiable Class A driving experience, have an acceptable driving record, and understanding of DOT rules and regulations. Drivers will operate lift trucks, hand trucks and other equipment while loading and unloading trucks. Driver associates assist in the warehouse when needed.

Note: Famous Supply Drivers will handle large products such as water heaters, furnaces and showers.

Primary Job Responsibilities

• Help load truck
• Use Smartphone to navigate to stops on-time
• “Drop-and-hook” full-trailer for empty trailer or unload skids at branch facility
• Pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
• May provide backup support for customer deliveries
  • Unload materials for customer
  • Verify delivery for accuracy
  • Provide friendly and helpful customer service

Required Experience and Skills

• Valid CDL-A License
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.

Preferred Experience and Skills

• Forklift experience
• Building industry experience and requisite product knowledge
• Warehouse Experience
• RF Scanner Experience
• Customer service experience
