PURPOSE:

Westrafo America is the first US based facility specializing in the design and manufacturing of high-quality transformers. We are committed to excellence and are looking to expand our team with dedicated professionals who share our passion for electrical engineering and manufacturing.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead the information technology function at our newly established manufacturing facility in Trotwood, OH! This is a ground-floor opportunity to build and manage the site’s IT infrastructure, systems, and support services in alignment with corporate standards and production needs. The ideal candidate will be both hands-on and strategic, ensuring all systems are operational, secure, and scalable.

Duties :

• Plan, implement, and manage IT infrastructure for a new facility, including servers, networks, and plant-floor systems.
• Ensure seamless integration of manufacturing execution systems, ERP systems, and other digital operation tools.
• Manage and support end-user computing, help desk operations, and IT assets.
• Oversee cybersecurity measures and ensure data integrity and compliance with corporate policies.
• Collaborate with Italian IT team to align local systems with global initiatives.
• Develop SOPs, disaster recovery plans, and IT support documentation.
• Source and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.

Requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of IT experience, including at least 2 years in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• Proven experience setting up or managing IT infrastructure in a greenfield or startup facility preferred.
• Strong knowledge of networking, server administration, cybersecurity, and system integrations.
• Familiarity with SAP and other industrial controls systems.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to work on-site full-time and provide after-hours support as needed.
