Software application engineer

Description

Summary: This role supports production systems and business intelligence tools across multiple manufacturing sites. The ideal candidate will manage system administration, reporting, and database performance, while contributing to disaster recovery planning and in-house application support. Key Responsibilities: Administer and support production IT systems including Line Side Labeling, Traceability, and IoT platforms. Develop and maintain BI dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, and SSRS. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize SQL databases and related infrastructure. Provide technical support for custom-built applications and resolve programmatic issues. Participate in testing and validation of new development and system changes. Assist in the creation and testing of disaster recovery plans. Required Skills & Qualifications: Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, and SQL Server. Programming experience in C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, JSON, and XML. Strong understanding of Microsoft productivity tools and basic network configuration. Experience supporting IT hardware/software in a manufacturing environment. Ability to analyze complex problems and implement effective solutions. Excellent communication, time management, and team collaboration skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

MUST HAVEs - Associate’s degree Computer Software, applicable certificates, or equivalent IT experience - BI & Reporting Tools: Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, and SSRS for dashboard and report creation, with a solid grasp of data structures and business terminology. - Programming Languages: Working knowledge of C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, JSON, and XML to support reporting and troubleshoot in-house systems. - Database Administration: Experience with SQL Server, including monitoring, tuning, and writing stored procedures. - Production Systems Support: Familiarity with Line Side Labeling, Traceability, IoT systems, and general IT hardware/software in a manufacturing environment. - Disaster Recovery & Troubleshooting: Ability to create and test disaster recovery plans and resolve issues in existing programs.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.27 - $57.69/hr.
