Job Description

The Assembler – Finishing role focuses on assembling large sheet metal enclosures by accurately measuring, fitting, and securing components to create a high-quality finished product. You will work with sheet metal pieces, perform basic tack welds, and complete final finishing tasks such as fastening components and touching up paint to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Measure and position sheet metal pieces, typically 10–15 feet in length, according to blueprints and shop drawings.
• Perform small tack welds to temporarily secure sheet metal components until welders complete final welds.
• Assemble and secure parts by buttoning, bolting, and gluing items onto the final product as required.
• Install and add various components to metal enclosures, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
• Touch up paint on finished products to maintain a clean, professional appearance and meet quality standards.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to complete assembly and finishing tasks.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and measurements to ensure accurate assembly.
• Inspect work for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as needed to meet specifications.
• Collaborate with team members on the production floor to meet deadlines and production goals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety procedures in a manufacturing environment.

This is a Contract position based out of BATAVIA, OH.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in BATAVIA,OH.
