Powder Operator

A union manufacturing company is seeking Powder Operators to join their team. You must be flexible to work first or second shift.
Duties: **
- **Set-up powder guns with proper gun tips, controls, and reciprocators per the instructions
- Adjust the width of the bake oven and turn on or off elements of the oven based on routing or instructions**
- Use thermometer to determine temperature of painted parts, monitor proper pH, titration levels, pumps, and spray nozzles in washer, and reports problems to supervisor**
- Put proper powder into paint hoppers and check parts as they are being painted for conformance to quality standards**
- Perform manual powder work when needed using portable handgun, cleans guns, booths, and hoses for each color change**
- Take inventory of powder, chemicals, etc., handle clean-up activities, turn washer on/off for breaks, lunch, and at end of shift**
- Turn on oven at beginning of shift and shut down at end of shift, clean mesh screens at least once per day**
- Deliver product as needed to new location, recording location as appropriate**
Job Qualifications:**
- Must have at least 1 year experience on the powder line in the booth
- Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions
- Must have the ability to read a scale accurately
- Must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, reliable, and have work boots
