Summary
The Research Assistant will support a faculty-led project exploring fashion trends and inspirations among Generation Z consumers (born 1997-2012). This role is part of the Fashion Merchandising and Product Development program and contributes to both research and creative inquiry related to fashion consumer markets and product offerings. The position will directly enhance undergraduate students' career readiness by engaging them in research dissemination and applied, industry-focused tasks.

Essential Functions
- The Research Assistant will be responsible for conducting thorough research on fashion inspirations, including the influence of music, musicians, and their associated styles.
- The role requires analyzing fashion brands and their creative direction, with particular attention to how these strategies appeal to Generation Z.
- The student will regularly synthesize findings into written reports and summaries tailored to the supervisor's research needs.
- The Research Assistant will support the supervisor in drafting and preparing a paper for submission to an academic conference.
- Success in this position will depend on the ability to gather credible sources, identify emerging trends, and communicate insights clearly and effectively.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidates must demonstrate a strong interest in fashion, including fashion trends and brands.
- They should have a solid understanding of fashion styles and sources of inspiration, with enough depth to provide accurate and relevant information to the supervisor.
- Strong writing and communication skills are essential to effectively convey research findings.
