Locum MD (Medical Doctor);DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Emergency Medicine
Description
This contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide critical care in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with dedicated healthcare professionals.
As a Locum Emergency Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical care in emergency situations, ensuring patient safety, and making rapid decisions that impact patient outcomes. This role is crucial in supporting our staffing needs within the healthcare community and contributes to the overall mission of providing excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency medical care to patients in critical conditions
- Assess and diagnose medical emergencies efficiently
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other medical professionals
- Perform necessary medical procedures and interventions
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Provide guidance and support to junior medical staff
- Stay current with best practices in emergency medicine
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Ohio
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency medicine
- Strong clinical skills and ability to perform under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS
Schedule: 7a-7p or 7p-7a
No call requirement
Annual Volume: 13,000 patients
Daily Volume: 35 patients
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
