As a technician, you will be involved in polishing and buffing parts to a shiny finish, managing jobs using a computer, conducting quality control on parts, and working within a dynamic team environment. Your work will contribute to technologies that assist scientists in exploring the frontiers of physics and materials science.

Responsibilities

• Polish and buff metal parts to a shiny, high-quality finish.
• Inspect finished parts for quality and consistency.
• Maintain polishing and buffing equipment.
• Perform minor machining tasks including tube cutting.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment.

• Mechanical aptitude
• Willingness to be trained
• 1+ year of experience operating large equipment such as cranes, buffers, or polishers

• Experience with metal finishing
• Experience operating a sander/polisher machine

Work Environment

The work environment is in a climate-controlled facility with over 100 employees. The position offers a flexible first shift schedule from Monday to Thursday, with start times as early as 5:30 AM and end times up to 5:30 PM, allowing you to create your own schedule. The role requires 40 hours of work per week with optional overtime available.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westerville, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
