Global Treasury Leader
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Global Treasury Leader is responsible for advising and coordinating Treasury activities to support the Structured Transactions Governance Committee (STGC), developing global cash planning tools, leading and improving global cash forecasting, managing short term borrowings, as well as coordinating all Treasury forecast submissions.
Reports to : Assistant Treasurer
Span of Control : Individual contributor initially, with a path to people leadership of two or three individual contributors depending on background and existing experiences.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Know Our Businesses and their Strategies
- Build relationships within the Treasury organization, cross-functionally, and with key stakeholders; ensure effective contact to remain aligned with functional objectives
- Understand the strategic direction of the company's businesses and execute functional strategies to support and enhance business results; be knowledgeable of the project work that supports this direction and implications to the business
- Know what best-in-class cash forecast & planning, derivatives management do and obtain outside-in market insights to understand and then apply to positively impact Owens Corning
Advise and Support Structured Transactions and Governance Committee (STGC)
- The Structured Transactions Governance Committee (“STGC”) was established to monitor the financial and legal governance of the corporate entity structure, as well as to provide oversight to capital and financing transactions amongst Owens Corning's legal entities
- Advise the Committee on FX hedging strategy, global cash planning, and repatriation strategy for special projects coming to the STGC for review and approval
Lead Global Cash Forecasting and Planning
- Own the global cash forecasting, reporting, and analysis processes to ensure engagement in delivering timely and accurate forecasts by collaborating with regional treasury teams
- Maintain and improve 30-day and 60-day free cash flow forecast accuracy
- Support key forecasting, reporting, and analytical initiatives around free cash flow generation and balance sheet stewardship
- Design the future best-in-class global cash forecast reporting model, coordinate with regional, business finance and corporate finance stakeholders to meet global requirements
- Own the cash planning for daily operations and strategic transactions including legal entity restructuring, M&A, minority investment, intercompany and external financing
- Make daily decision regarding the use of bank facilities that may include implementing and managing a commercial paper program
Manage Systems/Reporting/Special Projects
- Drive reporting simplification and automation across the organization, while delivering actionable insights
- Drive increased BI usage across the global treasury organization
- Understand current business initiatives, technology trends and best practices for value creation
- Coordinate all treasury forecast submissions to FP&A (interest expense, pension, insurance, etc.) including managing the treasury department budget
- Drive strategy for a cash operations team with a global perspective
- Drive working capital initiatives and projects
- May support M&A due diligence and integration planning
Financial Risk Management
- Understand and refine risk management strategies through data gathering and financial analysis for foreign exchange, interest rate, and commodity exposures
- Partner with regional Treasury teams to oversee and execute currency hedging programs in compliance with risk management policies
Internal Controls Excellence/Compliance
- Deep understanding of “Treasury Policy” and levels of authority (LOA) per global requirement
- Coach other stakeholders on the policy updates, impact to the businesses, LOA requirements whenever there's such need
- Establish a clear “tone at the top” regarding business conduct, ethics, the law and financial controls
- Develop a risk-based approach to make informed recommendations for standardization, simplification, and automation of strategic treasury processes, while ensuring compliance with OC standards and internal controls
Lead and Develop Talent

JOB REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience
- Minimum of 2 years in a Treasury, FP&A, or technical accounting role
- Experience using SAP or a similar ERP architecture
PREFFERED EXPERIENCE:
- Prior Treasury experience at a Fortune 500 company preferred
- Prior people leadership experience preferred
- Experience with SAP, Power BI (Business Intelligence), FXall, FiREapps, Bloomberg terminals, or similar technologies
- Demonstrated rate of growth and success in prior roles
- Success in a fast-paced and dynamic, team-oriented environment
- Change leadership experience and/or complex project leadership experience
- Demonstrated ability to function in a highly matrixed structure across functional, business, geographic and cultural boundaries
