Job Title: 1st Shift Test Technician- pay up to $30/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Test Technician to join our team. This role involves testing, troubleshooting, correcting, and documenting wiring and functional problems according to wiring diagrams and test procedures. The technician will work on prototype models as per engineering instructions and interface with production and engineering personnel to address nonconformance issues. The role includes programming and testing PLCs for load step applications, setting up electronic components, developing test simulations, and assisting in training new testers. The technician will also perform final inspections on tested units and promote a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, and document wiring and functional problems.
• Test prototype models according to engineering instructions.
• Interface with production and engineering personnel to address nonconformance issues.
• Program and test PLCs used in load step applications.
• Set up electronic components and protective circuits as per test specifications.
• Develop and build test simulations for engineering.
• Assist in training new testers in test techniques and equipment operation.
• Perform final inspection operations on all tested units.
• Promote a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Essential Skills

• 2 years of experience in Electronics and Electrical fields.
• Proficiency in reading and following schematics of complex electrical and mechanical circuits.
• Knowledge of electrical principles and power management.
• Experience with troubleshooting, electronics, electrical, mechanical, and schematic testing.
• Ability to operate test equipment and perform mechanical assembly.
• Familiarity with calibration, wiring, and repair using hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of PLC interface, computer programming, and networking skills.
• Understanding of LO/TO and OSHA electrical safety regulations.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and work with 480 Volt circuits.
• Experience with inspection and electro-mechanical systems.

This is a Permanent position based out of Bedford, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $54080.00/yr.
