General Production Worker

Solon, OH

Job Title: Production Associate (2nd Shift) (18.00hr.)

Job Description

This role involves working in a clean, production-based environment assembling small electronic components and cable assemblies that support precision construction testing equipment. You will read and follow detailed work instructions, perform highly repetitive tasks while seated, and contribute to multiple stages of a production line, including gluing, shelling cables, and housing cable assemblies. Based on your interview and skills, you may be assigned to one of several stations, all requiring strong attention to detail, consistent quality, and reliable productivity. We are looking for individuals to interview and start as soon as possible. We offer weekly pay with overtime paying time and a half. Apply Today!

Responsibilities

  • Read and follow detailed work instructions to meet daily and overall production quotas across various production stations.
  • Perform highly repetitive assembly tasks while seated for the majority of the shift.
  • Operate as part of a production flow where crimping, housing cable assemblies, shelling cables, and gluing are closely connected, ensuring your output does not create bottlenecks for subsequent steps.
  • Maintain consistent quality and productivity metrics, supporting smooth production flow for the entire team.
  • GLUING OPERATOR: Sit at a designated station and apply beads of glue to wires that pass through a machine using ultraviolet light.
  • GLUING OPERATOR: Use both hands and feet to operate the machine and pedal to apply glue accurately and consistently.
  • GLUING OPERATOR: Perform very repetitive gluing tasks while maintaining focus and attention to detail to meet quality standards.
  • SHELLING CABLES: Take two pieces of 12-inch cables and connect them to a circuit board as part of a cable assembly.
  • SHELLING CABLES: Apply a small plastic housing, approximately the length of a finger, over two cables and use a small hand press to snap the top and bottom halves together.
  • SHELLING CABLES: Follow instructions on the required number of cable assemblies to complete each day, measured by cable length.
  • SHELLING CABLES: Connect wires to a circuit board once the housing is completed and route them correctly to string assemblies together.
  • HOUSING CABLE ASSEMBLY: Insert crimped wires into small plastic housings at the ends of the wires, following provided examples and instructions.
  • HOUSING CABLE ASSEMBLY: Perform repetitive tasks by placing small caps on the ends of wires to complete the housing assemblies.
  • HOUSING CABLE ASSEMBLY: Follow work orders that specify the number of assemblies to complete each day.
  • Conduct visual inspections of small parts and assemblies to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to standards.
  • Use basic hand tools and small presses safely and effectively during assembly tasks.
  • Follow all production, safety, and cleanliness guidelines to maintain a safe and orderly work area.
  • Collaborate with team members in the shared production room to support overall output and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Listen to instructions and feedback from supervisors and adjust work practices as needed to meet quality and productivity expectations.

Essential Skills

  • Experience performing visual inspection with high attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a production or assembly line environment (preferred).
  • Experience assembling small parts and components.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Comfort performing very repetitive tasks while seated for extended periods.
  • Basic experience with assembly, production, and general production work.
  • Experience using hand tools and small presses in a production or assembly setting.
  • Ability to perform electronic assembly and inspection tasks.
  • Capability to use both hands and feet simultaneously to operate pedals or machinery as needed.
  • Strong focus on meeting daily quotas and productivity metrics.
  • Reliability in attendance and consistency in work output.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working with cables or cable assemblies.
  • Experience working with electronics or electronic components.
  • Experience in small part assembly, including fine motor work.
  • Familiarity with cleanroom or very clean production environments.
  • Experience with machine operation in a light manufacturing or production setting.
  • General labor or general production experience in a structured, process-driven environment.

Why Work Here?

You will join a very clean, laid-back production environment where you can listen to music with ear pods while you work, helping you stay focused and comfortable throughout your shift. The organization offers competitive pay for this type of work and provides opportunities for contractors to be considered for direct hire after demonstrating strong attendance, a positive attitude, and consistent productivity over time. You will contribute to products used in the construction industry that help test foundations and evaluate concrete quality, supporting safer and more precise building projects.

Work Environment

This is a production-based environment where all positions are located in a single room, allowing you to see the full flow of work from crimping through housing cable assemblies, shelling cables, and gluing. The workspace is very clean and organized, with approximately 12 employees seated at individual workstations. The environment is described as clean and laid-back, with a strong emphasis on maintaining a smooth production flow so that one station does not create bottlenecks for others. Second shift runs from 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Contractors may wear ear pods and listen to music during work, as long as they do not watch videos. You will work with small parts, cables, circuit boards, hand tools, small presses, and machines that use ultraviolet light, all within a seated workstation setting.
