Family & Children First Coordinator

COORDINATOR

Primary duty of the Family & Children First Coordinator is to aid in the coordination of a county-wide system of providing information and support to all families with children, prenatal through 21. It focuses on developing a coordinated and cooperative public system infrastructure that promotes cross system collaboration. This includes facilitation of Wrap Around activities for families and children referred. The FCFC Coordinator will pursue service options that address children's individual needs, and are family-centered, and culturally competent.

Schedule and coordinate meetings for the FCFC.

Direct Planning duties related to the FCFC Shared Plan.

This position will require the ability to work independently with an office located at 775 Eliza St., Kenton. The position may also require the ability to work virtually(equipment provided) and may require some evening/weekends depending on client needs.

Research issues/problem areas related to the Council and develop data/information to enable the Council to make informed decisions.

Pursue state, federal, and local grants, reimbursements and/or additional funding for projects and programs.

Coordinate needs assessments and review proposals to close gap in services, changes in service system and better coordination and integration of services.

Monitor individual cases reviewed by the FAST Team and ensure periodic and formal review of each case.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate degree in social work or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Prior experience in education, juvenile justice, health, mental health, human services, or closely related field. Preferred familiarity with system coordination in rural county.

Experience working with families and children along with knowledge of caregiver issues and community resources.

Salary commensurate with experience.

The FCFC Coordinator will be employed by the Mental Health & Recovery Services Board of Allen, Auglaize, Hardin counties.
