As a Classroom Assistant, you will have the unique opportunity to experience full-cycle business operations including center management, student instruction, parent communication, and marketing. This role is integral to the seamless functioning of weekly class sessions and administrative activities. Collaborating closely with the instructor, you will be responsible for preparing and organizing students' studies on a bi-weekly cadence, ensuring that materials are ready for effective learning experiences. Beyond the classroom dynamics, responsibilities extend to facilitating important parent communications. This includes updates about the center, student/staffing schedules, and conducting timely reminder phone calls or mailings. In addition, you will support student and parental needs during class, handling inquiries professionally and swiftly. Your dedication to supporting both the instructor and maintaining positive communication channels will contribute significantly to the overall success of the Kumon learning environment.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of teaching and/or related business work experience.
• Experience with Gmail, Google Docs.
• Proficient in basic computer usage.
• 15 - 30 hours per week (2 - 3 class sessions + 1 - 2 administrative days)
• Bachelors degree, or pursuing a degree, is a big plus.

General Responsibilities

• Assist Instructor during in-class sessions (2 - 3x per week)
• Support parent inquiries and facilitate routine communications about center updates, student scheduling, and reminder phone calls or mailings.
• Manage contact list and data entry of new students/enrollment.
• Work closely with the Instructor to prepare and organize student studies.
• Customer service-minded individual

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills, and written communications skills.
• Proficient math skills is a plus
• Customer service-minded individual

Center Details:

Center hours are listed. Schedules generally operate within those time periods, but happy to discuss scheduling in detail.

• Class session M, T, R (3:30p to 7:00p)
• Administrative days W, F (11:00a to 5:00p)
