Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment, primarily focusing on mechanical work with some electrical responsibilities. This role emphasizes quality work over speed, with a focus on maintaining older equipment that requires frequent attention. Pay for the position is a range of $28-32 an hour

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance including greasing, belt, bearing, and seal replacements.
• Conduct mechanical troubleshooting and repairs on various machines.
• Handle 480V motor experience and perform 24V-120V electrical troubleshooting.
• Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Service chain-driven conveyors and small presses that produce fabric/plastic gaskets.
• Assist with turntable style cells and support production employees.
• Manage transfer presses ranging from 6 to 40 feet in length.
• Collaborate with controls technicians on machines with significant electrical components.

Essential Skills

• Experience in industrial mechanical maintenance.
• Proficiency in hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
• 480V troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of MIG and TIG welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with controls is beneficial for career advancement.
• Familiarity with low voltage systems (12V-24V).

Work Environment

The work environment is clean, climate-controlled, and well-lit. While the majority of machinery is older, upgrades are being made with the introduction of robotic arms and new presses.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Piqua, OH.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.
