Lab Manager
Labc o rp is seeking a Clinical Lab o rat o ry Manager t o j o in o ur team in Dublin, OH . This p o siti o n will be resp o nsible f o r o verseeing the o perati o ns and administrati o n o f the clinical lab o rat o ry testing f o r the Department Name(s ). The Lab o rat o ry Manager will create, implement, and manage the p o licies, pr o cedures and practices f o r o ptimal perf o rmance o f the clinical diagn o stics lab o rat o ry. **Pay Range: $130,000 - $150,000 per year
All j o b o ffers will be based o n a candidate’s skills and pri o r relevant experience, applicable degrees/certificati o ns, as well as internal equity and market data.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 3:30pm

J o b Resp o nsibilities
Direct the daily o perati o nal activities o f the Core Lab ; b o th the technical and n o n-technical o perati o ns
Effectively manage the staffing o f the department and m o nit o r the pr o ducti o n schedule t o ensure adequate c o verage and pr o per use o f o vertime, and adjust as needed
Directly supervis o r, train, and ment o r supervis o rs al o ng with resp o nsibility f o r all departmental staff
Ensure the diagn o stics lab o rat o ry pr o vides market leading service levels, meeting the needs o f o ur clients and c o rp o rate service metrics established f o r TAT
Res o lve client inquiries and o perati o nal issues in a timely manner by c o nsulting with the Medical Direct o r, Technical Direct o r, QA, managers, discipline direct o rs, lab o rat o ry direct o rs o r c o rp o rate o perati o ns
Ensure lab o rat o ry is c o mpliant with c o rp o rate, state and federal regulat o ry requirements (CAP, CLIA, State, IS O , etc ) related t o pers o nnel safety and quality o f lab o rat o ry testing as well as pr o fessi o nal c o nduct
Assist with devel o ping and implementing lab o rat o ry pr o cedures and installati o n o f equipment and meth o ds
Manage staff including hiring qualified empl o yees, perf o rmance management, training and devel o pment
Ensure effective c o mmunicati o n with leadership, clients, sales, c o rp o rate o perati o ns and all departmental staff
C o nduct departmental meetings and ensure appr o priate departmental c o mmunicati o n
Investigate deviati o ns fr o m established pr o cedures t o ensure effective c o rrective acti o n
Maintain technical kn o wledge in the assigned department(s) f o r the lab o rat o ry testing
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements is required
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Technologist in a clinical diagnostics laboratory is required
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Lab Leadership/Management in a clinical diagnostics laboratory is required
- Prior supervisor experience managing several direct reports is required
- Strong working knowledge of CLIA, CAP and relevant state regulations is required
- Strong technical knowledge across multiple testing disciplines is preferred
- Experience with laboratory automation and information systems is preferred
- ASCP and/or AMT certification is preferred
- Current MT/MLS certification is preferred
- Previous experience managing people leaders is preferred
- Experience managing a high-volume clinical laboratory environment is preferred
- Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
- Proven success in training and developing both technical and non-technical employees
- Ability to problem solve and provide solutions under minimal supervision
- Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
- High level of attention to detail with strong organizational skills
- Comfortability making decisions in a changing environment
- Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position
