Reports to: Engineering Manager

Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to lead continuous improvement initiatives and provide engineering support for our assembly, molding, and surface-mount technology (SMT) operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, new equipment debug, and data-driven decision-making, with a passion for optimizing production efficiency and quality.

Role Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support for assembly, molding, and SMT operations, troubleshooting issues and optimizing processes.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing processes to support product development and production scalability.
  • Debug and validate new equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
  • Create and manage robust data collection systems to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes and equipment.
  • Process ECR’s (Engineering Change Requests) to implement feedback from production staff into our manufacturing processes
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager or Executive Leadership.

Role Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology (required).
  • 3 or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Strategic and analytical mindset, capable of evaluating and solving complex problems.
  • Project management skills to keep projects on track and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, timeline-driven environment.
  • Lean training and/or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Understanding of military, first responder, industrial, or communications product requirements is a plus.

Salary: $80k-90k/Year

Condensed Schedule: Monday – Thursday: 9-hours per day, Friday: 4-hours per day remote
