Reports to: Engineering Manager
Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to lead continuous improvement initiatives and provide engineering support for our assembly, molding, and surface-mount technology (SMT) operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, new equipment debug, and data-driven decision-making, with a passion for optimizing production efficiency and quality.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support for assembly, molding, and SMT operations, troubleshooting issues and optimizing processes.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement new manufacturing processes to support product development and production scalability.
- Debug and validate new equipment to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
- Create and manage robust data collection systems to monitor performance, identify trends, and drive process improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes and equipment.
- Process ECR’s (Engineering Change Requests) to implement feedback from production staff into our manufacturing processes
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager or Executive Leadership.
Role Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology (required).
- 3 or more years of relevant work experience.
- Strategic and analytical mindset, capable of evaluating and solving complex problems.
- Project management skills to keep projects on track and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Self-motivated attitude with the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, timeline-driven environment.
- Lean training and/or Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Understanding of military, first responder, industrial, or communications product requirements is a plus.

Condensed Schedule: Monday – Thursday: 9-hours per day, Friday: 4-hours per day remote
