Youth coach

Job Overview
Club Ohio East is seeking a part time coach that is available to work in the following areas; New Albany, Gahanna, Johnstown, Blacklick, Pataskala, Pickerington, and Teays Valley. This position reports to James Norman, the managing director.

At Club Ohio East, our focus is on playing at the highest level in local leagues, which means reducing travel and expenses. We want to keep your child playing closer to home, which not only saves you money, but also reduces the time and stress of traveling long distances. For our U8-U9 players, we offer 10 games per season, while our U10-U12 players will have 12-14 games per season. We believe that this provides the perfect balance between competition and development, allowing your child to gain valuable game experience while still having time to work on their skills training.

Our goal is to have our players on the field more than in the car. We believe that by focusing on local competition and quality training, we can help your child reach their full potential without sacrificing their time or your family's budget

We currently have positions open that would require you to start immediately coaching 1-2 teams.

Expectations:

• 3 training sessions per week, followed by 1-2 games over the weekend.
• Work closely with your team admin, club director and fellow coaching staff.
• Aid player development and motivation by providing positive and constructive feedback that is delivered in an appropriate manner.
• Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the club’s policies and all applicable laws, particularly regarding the safeguarding of youth/minor players.
• Attend, assist and support other teams and events as requested by the Club Director.
• Be available throughout the month of May for the club tryout period.
• Weekly communication with players and families through PlayMetrics.

Requirements:

• Education, Experience, Certifications: Previous experience coaching rec, club or high school soccer.
• Soccer Licensing a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be willing and able to work evenings, weekends and regularly travel in the surrounding areas of New Albany, Gahanna, Johnstown, Blacklick, Pataskala, Pickerington, and Teays Valley.
