Maintenance Technician

Banyan Living is a leading company in the real estate industry, focused on providing high-quality luxury apartment homes in the greater Cleveland and Columbus metropolitan areas. We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our growing team.

In the role of Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the comfortable and safe living environment of our residents through regular maintenance and prompt resolution of repair issues. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks for various systems within apartment buildings, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests and service calls from residents.
• Conduct repairs for appliances, fixtures, and any general maintenance needs.
• Assist in preparing units for new residents, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in maintenance work areas and storage facilities.
• Document maintenance activities and manage inventory of tools and supplies.
• Follow safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions immediately.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in residential maintenance or related fields.
• Knowledge of general maintenance techniques and practices.
• Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC maintenance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well with residents and team members.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
• Physical ability to handle maintenance tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and working in various outdoor conditions.
• Availability for emergency on-call rotations as needed.
