Job Title: Project Specialist/Architectural Designer
Job Description
We are seeking an Intern Architect/Project Specialist to join our dynamic team. Initially, you will support a large retail program and later transition to a variety of commercial projects. You will be involved from project conception through completion, with responsibilities evolving from producing construction documents to engaging in design, construction administration, and project management. Coordination with consulting engineers will also be a key aspect of this role.
Responsibilities

Review work requirements and plan specifics to optimize resource use and avoid conflicts, notifying the project lead of any issues.

Adhere to daily schedules and directions from project leaders.

Maintain a list of project questions for review by the project lead.

Complete drafting assignments with technical skill, quality, accuracy, and speed.

Collaborate with internal departments and teams as directed.

Utilize CADD skills and 3D rendering programs such as Photoshop to develop conceptual schematic materials.

Follow office standards for production drawings and check work for errors.

Communicate questions, problems, and necessary changes to the project lead and team members.

Notify the project lead of any dates or times affecting job assignment completion.
Essential Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from an accredited school.

1-3 years of experience in an architectural firm, preferably with retail or commercial projects.

Experience with AutoCAD.

Strong communication and organizational skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
-
Experience with Revit and rendering programs like Photoshop is a plus.

Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Independence, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $31.25/hr.
