MSN OB Nurse Educator – Classroom & Clinical
Work Location: Cincinnati, OH
Weekly Commitment: Full-time or Part-time - Mon-Fri
Morning courses are 8a-12p/8a-1p, evening courses 4p-10p
Clinicals are usually Fridays

Alto Healthcare Staffing is hiring an MSN-prepared OB Nursing Faculty member for a 12-week contract to transition into a permanent role.

In this position, you will guide nursing students through their academic and professional journey, delivering classroom lectures, facilitating discussions, and supporting mastery of Obstetrics nursing concepts and professional standards.

While the primary focus is classroom-based instruction, you will also provide clinical oversight in approved healthcare settings. Your role ensures students apply theoretical knowledge to safe, effective patient care.

You will collaborate with fellow faculty, program leadership, and clinical partners to ensure instruction aligns with course objectives, supports program outcomes, and complies with accreditation standards.

What you’ll do:

• Teach Obstetrics nursing theory and clinical skills in classroom, lab, and approved healthcare settings
• Plan and facilitate learning activities aligned with course objectives and accreditation standards
• Lead discussions, skills labs, and pre/post-clinical conferences to reinforce learning
• Supervise and evaluate students’ clinical performance, providing timely, constructive feedback
• Develop individualized remediation plans for students needing additional support
• Collaborate with faculty, clinical site staff, and program leadership to maintain high-quality instruction
• Maintain compliance with regulatory and program policies, including clinical site requirements
• Integrate real-world nursing examples and evidence-based practices into lessons
• Participate in program evaluation, curriculum review, and continuous improvement efforts

What we’re looking for:

• Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program – required for this role
• Active, unencumbered RN license in Ohio or multistate privilege to practice
• At least 2 years of RN OB clinical experience
• Prior teaching or clinical instruction experience preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills
• Competent in basic computer applications (Word, Excel, email)
• Current CPR certification, required immunizations, and compliance with health & safety clearances
• Bonus if can do SIM OB hours with a high-fidelity mannequin!**
