Production Associate

Job Title: Material Handler & Production Associate, 2nd and 3rd shift, 18+

Job Description

The Production Associate will perform various tasks on the production floor, ensuring all duties are carried out safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include operating industrial sewing equipment and machinery to accurately cut tarps, setting up and adjusting machinery between runs, and conducting quality checks on finished products. The role involves overseeing multiple production lines and maintaining a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks on the production floor as required.
• Operate industrial sewing equipment and machinery to cut tarps to appropriate size.
• Set up and make changes to machinery in-between runs.
• Perform quality checks on finished products including color, size, measurements, and defects.
• Operate and oversee multiple production lines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift.

Essential Skills

• Comfortable working on feet in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read a tape measure and use hand and power tools.
• Experience with packaging, assembly, inspection, packing, and machine operation.
• Ability to operate a forklift and CNC machinery.
• Proficiency in basic computer tasks.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Capability to perform basic shop math.

Work Environment

Work in a family-owned, non climate-controlled facility with around 125 employees. The company prioritizes safety with monthly training sessions, ensuring a protected work environment. Positions are available on 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wooster, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $19.25/hr.
