Title: 2nd Shift Supervisor

Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday - Thursday, 3:00pm - 1:30am

Salary: $55,000-$65,000 salary, with voluntary overtime available

Who we are:

Our client is a distributor for the automotive industry located in Avon, OH. They focus on distributing steel products. The company has a total headcount between 150 and 200 employees and is looking to hire a Supervisor to continue building out their second shift.

2nd Shift Supervisor Role:

The 2nd Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of warehouse associates , providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment in a timely manner. This role is key to maintaining a smooth and robust second shift operation.

2nd Shift Supervisor Responsibilities:

• Supervise a team of warehouse associates

• Provide necessary guidance, training, and performance feedback

• Ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment

• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety regulations and protocols

• Utilize warehouse management systems and monitor team productivity

• Coordinate with other departments to resolve any issues or discrepancies

• Implement efficient materials handling processes to optimize workflow and minimize errors

• Ensure timely delivery of products

2nd Shift Supervisor Reporting Relationships:

The 2nd Shift Supervisor reports directly to the Warehouse Manager and is responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates.

About You:

• Possess proven experience as a Supervisor or similar role

• Demonstrate strong leadership skills to motivate and guide a team

• Have knowledge of safety regulations and experience implementing safety protocols

• Possess excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

• Maintain effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and other departments

• Be willing to perform heavy lifting and operate mechanical equipment as needed

• Possessing 5-6 years of management experience is desired

• Be a reliable person with a history of longevity in past positions

• Be an empathetic leader who can motivate people from different backgrounds

• Experience in a fast-paced distribution or logistics environment is a plus
