Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details

• Location: Cleveland, OH 44195 (Ohio healthcare jobs)
• Facility: HVTI-Stepdown Float Pool, major hospital campus
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel nurse contract)
• Start Date: October 3, 2025
• End Date: January 2, 2026
• Shifts: Rotating Day/Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week (7am–7:30pm / 7pm–7:30am)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2250 - $2310
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens, Travel Nursing

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of recent Cardiac Stepdown RN experience (travel RN experience accepted)
• Active Ohio Registered Nurse license or Compact State RN license
• Current AHA BLS & ACLS certifications required
• NIH Stroke Certification required
• One supervisory reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in Cardiac Stepdown specialty
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• Ability to work at least every other holiday
• Background check and fingerprinting required prior to start

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients in a dynamic float pool environment
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, including ECG rhythm recognition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and perform cardiac-related clinical procedures
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities
• Adapt to rotating shifts and float between cardiac stepdown units as needed
• Participate in ongoing nursing education and annual competency modules
