POSITION Children's Services Legal Assistant BENEFITS 12+ Paid Holidays Immediate Vacation and Sick Leave Accrual Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription Coverage Access to County Vehicles for Work Purposes Deferred Compensation Plan Retirement Plan with Ohio Public Employees Retirement System Discounts at Select Local Businesses Student Loan Forgiveness Employee Assistance Program JOB DUTIES Creates and Enters in Legal Documentation and Placement Documents Scans All Entries Received from the Court Enters Legal Data into SACWIS Ensures Appropriate Parties Receive Needed Paperwork Prepares Correspondence, Schedules, Forms etc. Tracks All Court Dates and Court Calendars Researches and Gathers Documents for Children's Services Proofs All Materials for Accuracy Adheres to Strict Deadlines Files All Court Documents Timely Completes Daily Mail/Court Run Data Entry for All Children's Services Clothing Programs Obtains Signatures When Needed General Clerical Tasks and Phone Screening Answers Questions Regarding Court Dates/Times Tracks Training Hours for All CPS Staff WAGE Starting at $16.00/hour MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Twelve months experience as a Clerical Specialist 3 OR completion of two years of technical training in office administration/secretarial science. OR formal education in arithmetic that includes addition and subtraction, and reading, writing, and speaking common English vocabulary, one course or six months experience in typing or keyboarding and word processing, and a valid driver's license. Also requires an additional twelve months previous clerical experience in a position similar to a Clerical Specialist 3.
