Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Carrier Sales Representative to join our freight brokerage team. This role is responsible for building relationships with carriers, negotiating rates, booking freight, and ensuring on-time pick-up and delivery of shipments. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong communication skills, and understands the logistics and transportation industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source, develop, and maintain relationships with carriers across multiple regions.

• Negotiate rates with carriers and ensure cost-effective shipping solutions.

• Book and schedule freight shipments while ensuring timely pick-up and delivery.

• Track and trace shipments; proactively communicate delays or issues to internal teams and customers.

• Manage daily carrier operations, resolve service issues, and maintain high service levels.

• Monitor market trends and capacity to stay competitive with pricing and coverage.

• Maintain accurate records in TMS and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with internal teams including customer sales and operations to meet customer needs.

Qualifications:

• 13 years of experience in carrier sales, transportation, or logistics preferred (brokerage experience a plus).

• Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication.

• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

• Experience using a TMS (McLeod, Truckstop, DAT, or similar platforms a plus).

• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
