About the Role:
As Kalmbach Feeds continues to grow, we are looking for passionate, hard-working team members that live our values and help us develop new ideas, serve customers, improve our processes, build teams, and realize our growth. We are seeking a skilled Safety manager to lead our corporate safety initiative. You will develop corporate standards, lead the teams actions to provide a safe working environment, support the application of those requirements with the production teams and ensure OSHA compliance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Team Safety : Champion a culture of employee safety through standards, training, auditing, and reporting. Communicate and train the organization on our safety philosophy.
- OSHA Compliance and reporting: Support regulatory compliance activities, maintain records, complete all required OSHA documentation and reporting.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve team member safety, develop innovative solutions, and support implementation.
- Leadership & Team Management: Directly supervise a team of Safety and compliance technicians supporting throughout the corporation.
- Collaboration: Partner with operations management teams to provide focused feedback and training
The Right Candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety, or a comparable technical field preferred, with at least five years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in safety management, with a strong focus on training, continuous improvement, and accountability, and readiness to step into a leadership role.
- Knowledge of Federal and State OSHA regulations and compliance and reporting requirements.
- Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Human Resource systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
