Job Title: Principal Engineer - Nuclear Tooling & Automation

Location: Columbus, OH (Will pay for relocation) (Hybrid up to 50% WFH) (Can be a delayed relocation as well)

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Salary Range: Open on Pay Bands (Probably going to be around $150-180k base but could go higher)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer to lead the formation of a new engineering team focused on nuclear automation and tooling at our client's facility in Ohio. This role is pivotal in driving innovative engineering solutions for nuclear projects including new builds, maintenance, and decommissioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of automated tooling systems for nuclear applications.

• Architect solutions for reactor construction, maintenance, and decommissioning (including small modular reactors and large-scale reactors).

• Establish and maintain nuclear equipment quality standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in automated tooling design within the nuclear industry.

• Deep understanding of nuclear tooling engineering principles and equipment quality standards.

• Proven experience designing tooling for nuclear reactor lifecycle (build, maintain, decommission).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with robotics and industrial automation in nuclear environments.

• Familiarity with ASME, NRC, and DOE standards.

• Prior experience in setting up new engineering teams or departments.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $185000.00/yr.
