Are you a passionate and dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) seeking an exciting opportunity? Look no further! Position Overview:
As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for applying your RVT skills as outlined by the Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board. Your role will involve various tasks, including observing animals for signs of illness or injury, preparing animals for treatment or surgery, and assisting veterinarians during procedures. Additionally, you will play a key role in communicating with pet owners, utilizing your superior communication skills to ensure they fully understand their pets' needs. Pay rate is based on experience.

Key Attributes:

  2. Communicator: Possess superior communication abilities, ensuring clients are well-informed and comfortable with their pets' care.
  3. Computer Literate & Technology Savvy: Navigate our advanced equipment and use ezyVet Practice Management Software efficiently.
  4. Medical Skills: Apply a range of RVT skills, including monitoring, venipuncture, critical care, and more.
  5. Physically Fit: Capable of lifting 50 pounds, working on your knees, standing for extended periods, and restraining animals when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • State of Ohio RVT license.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Clean criminal record with no felony convictions or DUIs.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently when needed.
  • Effective communication with the public, staff, and city contacts.
  • Proficiency in composing, preparing, and reading documents.
  • Manual dexterity for written and computer records.
  • Tolerance for loud animal noises and odors.
  • Endurance for standing and walking during the entire duty shift.
