Job Title:  Senior   Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician

Location:  Pataskala, OH 

Schedule:  Monday-Thursday 4:15pm-2:45am (10% Shift Differential)

Job Summary:

The Senior Technician position is a leadership role within the maintenance department in which the successful candidate will work independently and with other plant personnel on assigned multi-craft tasks. They must demonstrate an advanced technical proficiency, adaptiveness, and a passion for continued development. He/she will troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. Senior Techs must demonstrate a positive attitude and be capable of leading by example. Selected candidates will also be involved with equipment installations and commissioning. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals, and objectives of the company.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities  include the following : 

· Provide support to the manufacturing processes by repairing industrial equipment including electrical components, motors, pumps, hydraulic systems, compressors, chillers and boilers, etc

· Complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems while utilizing experience to detect upset conditions before failures occur.

· Ability to use experience and technical knowledge to troubleshoot, diagnose, and determine correct course of action on all plant equipment.

· Must be competent when working on electrical control devices such as: Sensors, VFD’s, PLC’s

· Oversees daily work assignments on their shift and ensures all necessary documentation is completed to standard including: Work order creation, Checklists, Part Requests, etc.

· Assists in coordinating project work tasks to include working directly with engineers and contractors.

· Industrial welding experience a plus

· Have a working knowledge and understanding of HAZMAT, SDS, EPA, and OSHA requirements and ensures work assigned to their team is completed in accordance with safety and quality standards.

· Demonstrates above-average time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects

· Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with production staff and fellow maintenance team-members

· Must demonstrate willingness to integrate within a team environment while mentoring and training junior technicians.

· Ability to read, write and understand sufficient English to read machinery controls, load types, temperature, time, etc.

· Must be multi-talented, extremely flexible in work assignments 

· Self Motivated

· Performs other duties as assigned

Primary Qualifications:

· Ten (10) years maintenance experience in manufacturing environment

· Ability to read, interpret and analyze electrical/mechanical schematics, drawings, and manuals.

· Advanced knowledge and troubleshooting skills of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

· Experience leading small teams of technicians during daily maintenance assignments.

· Ability to identify and diagnose complicated problems and implement corrective action

· Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office applications and other computer programs 

· Knowledge of company safety, OSHA and department policies and procedures including Lock Out Tag Out

· Strong applied interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

· Ability to read and comprehend basic English and perform basic math functions including reading a tape measure

· Ability to be self-motivated

· Ability to work from heights (Ladders, Aerial Lifts, Roofs, etc)

· Ability to operate mobile equipment (Aerial lifts, Forklifts, etc)

· Ability to work in confined spaces.

Workplace Experience:

· Previous manufacturing experience is preferred.

Ergonomic Requirements:

· Ability to Stand for Long Periods of Time

· Ability to use Power Tools safely
