Production Operator

Job Description

A client of Insight Global is seeking hands-on Production Operators to support a machinery-driven packaging operation in Heath, Ohio. This role is less about manual packaging and more about operating, monitoring, and maintaining production and assembly-line equipment. Material is fed through a silo system that drops product from above, requiring strong mechanical aptitude and attention to safety.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who enjoy working directly with machinery, troubleshooting equipment, and supporting continuous production in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor automated and manual packaging machinery, with a strong focus on mechanical operation of the production line

• Maintain smooth operation of equipment fed by overhead silo systems

• Perform routine equipment checks, cleaning, and basic preventive maintenance

• Load and unload pallets and materials; assist with forklift operations (training available if needed)

• Support material handling and production flow throughout the shift

• Identify issues proactively and assist with troubleshooting production or mechanical problems

• Follow all plant safety policies, including PPE and lockout/tagout procedures

• Work effectively as part of a team with a long-term employment mindset

Perform additional production or maintenance-related duties as needed

Skills and Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or machinery-focused role

• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand, monitor, and regulate integrated production equipment

• Forklift experience or willingness to be trained

High School Diploma or GED
