Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP
About the Position
Shift:
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 3×12‑hour shifts per week
- Floating possible to J1‑2, J33, and ED (same patient population)
- Works every other holiday
⚕️ Responsibilities:
- Provide neuro stepdown level nursing care to adult patients
- Monitor neuro status, vitals, and early signs of deterioration
- Manage drips, post‑neuro procedure care, stroke protocols, and ECG monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary neuro teams
- Document in electronic health records
- Pass ECG rhythm test & safeMedicate test during orientation
- Follow Cleveland Clinic safety, quality, and float guidelines
Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 18 months of PERMANENT (staff) experience in the specialty (Neuro Stepdown) before traveling
- 18 months of recent Neuro Stepdown experience required
Travel experience is accepted - PCU/Progressive Care experience preferred but not required
License Requirements
- Active Permanent Ohio RN License
OR - Active Compact RN License
License must be in hand at time of submission
Certification Requirements
All must be active (no pending items):
- BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
- ACLS
- NIHSS
