Senior Network Implementation Engineer _corporate_fare_ Google _place_ Columbus, OH, USA **Mid** Experience driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members; deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area. **Minimum qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience. + 6 years of experience in telecommunications at carrier scale working with optical network infrastructure, transmission systems, layer2/3 routers, and data services. **Preferred qualifications:** + 10 years of experience in telecommunications infrastructure, deployment or design of networks in data centers, huts and colocation facilities managed by third party vendors. + Experience with driving best practices and quality standards around hyper-scale fiber deployments. + Understanding of networking at both Layer1 and Layer 3 as well as fiber infrastructure engineering. + Understanding of inside and outside plant fiber operations. + Understanding of managing installation quality programs. **About the job** Google is proud to boast a network that provides service to millions of Internet users around the world. As a Network Implementation Engineer, you will be on the front lines of our efforts to design, deploy, and maintain one of the largest and most complex private data networks in the world. You will work with Network Architects, Capacity Management, Project Managers, and Engineers within Google to gather network requirements, deploy Google's private network, create and manage network implementation/integration plans, and create physical and logical network designs. In this role, you will use your experience in networking, data centers, and co-location to establish and improve best practices and procedures, with a focus on fiber deployment, workmanship and quality standards. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $144,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Learn more aboutbenefits at Google ( . **Responsibilities** + Oversee fiber installation projects, procedures, implementations and quality standards. + Generate ideas and design processes or methods to improve fiber installation scale and quality. + Produce analysis, designs, efficiency improvements, or stability improvements of significant impact and help in driving fiber network scale and operational efficiency. + Serve as an operational lead while establishing technical direction and priorities. + Travel up to 10% of the time, as needed.
