Position Title: Law Enforcement Ranger
The Miami County Park District is currently hiring for Ranger - Full Time. All testing must be completed by March 1st 2025.
The department requires the candidate PHQ. Candidates can access the questionnaire through their candidate account.

Salary Information: $25.99 to $34.79 per hour depending on qualifications and expierence.

Necessary Certifications:

Ohio Peace Officer Basic Police Academy, and mandatory updates

Additional Requirements
Successfully complete field training and probationary period 1- year

Hiring Process
Complete agency application, NTN test with a minimum score, initial phone interview, panel interview background check conditional offer Drug, medical physical, psychological evaluation, CVSA)

Driving
One or more serious violation(s) in the last year
Two or more at-fault accidents in the last year, where the accident results in property damage in excess of $3,000
More than three moving violations in the last two year period, including traffic citations received as a result of an accident
Any combination of traffic accidents and/ or moving violations equaling five or more in the last two years.
Currently Under Suspension
Demonstrated a pattern of motor vehicle violations

Employment Disqualifiers
Pattern of behavior that has a negative effect on the character or reputation of the applicant.
Demonstrated a lack of respect, and fairness when dealing with the public.
Pattern of hostility, intimidation, aggression coercion, or deception.
Pattern of behavior that is adverse to public opinion.
Any legal actions pending or court order that would disqualify the applicant from being eligible to be a certified LE officer or possess a firearm.

No use of any felony scheduled non-prescribed drug is permitted at 24 years of age or older, with the exception of marijuana usage after the age of 23 which will be reviewed. This includes anabolic steroids. Used any scheduled non prescribed drug, in the last 3 years
