At Fox in the Snow, we are dedicated to producing high quality pastry with the utmost care. The main focus being, all of our pastry is handmade. As part of the baking team, you play a pivotal role in the daily success of the kitchen and business as a whole.

Job Description:

• Daily weighing and measuring recipes according to the prep list given.
• Assemble menu items in a high volume capacity. Prepping with a high attention to detail as well as maintaining an ongoing awareness of ingredients as some menu items change with the seasons.
• Prepping, preparing, and assembling the breakfast menu items according to orders coming in from the front of house for service.
• Supporting fellow teammates in keeping the kitchen running smoothly by communicating effectively, collaborating and assisting wherever is needed.
• Ensure your station and equipment are clean and well organized, following Ohio Health Inspection regulations.
• Ensure sanitation practices are upheld to the correct standards.
• Always utilizing FIFO (First In, First Out) and proper storage of food products.
• Thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

• Kitchen experience is preferred as well as Line Cook knowledge.
• Is a professional employee
• A Reliable and consistent employee
• Used to or agree to working early morning hours
• Is used to or OK with repetitive work
• Dedicated to your team and fellow bakers
• Able to adapt to change when needed
• Able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner
• Eligible to work in the United States and 18 years of age or older

You have:

• A flexible schedule and are available to work weekends
• A background in baking, whether it be professional or personal
• A familiarity with professional scales, mixers, kitchen equipment, baking tools
• The skills to read and understand a recipe (understanding weight variations)
• The ability to stand, walk, sit for long periods of time
• The use of hands to handle or feel and the ability to reach with hands and arm
• The ability to stoop, kneel, or crouch
• The ability to squat, bend, twist and reach for items below waist level or above shoulders
• The ability to lift, push/pull, carry and/or move up to 50 pounds
• The ability to speak loudly and clearly. This role is subject to loud noise for extended periods of time depending on the time and day of the week.
