Job Description
Moen is changing how we interact with water, and we are looking for an exceptional Senior Production Test Engineer to be a part of that new and innovative vision. Our IoT products allow consumers to interact with water in new and unique ways. The Senior Production Test Engineer develops production test software for IoT and electronic products and phases the software into production in accordance with new product development processes. At Moen, you will work on products with key features such as sensors, motors, and digital control which interfaces to Serverless Clouds, Mobile Devices, and Voice Assistants. We have an exciting roadmap of digital related products which is allowing our group to expand. Water designs our life. Can you design for water?
POSITION LOCATION:
This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with all work performed in North Olmsted, OH.
RESPONSIBLIITIES:
- Develop and maintain production test software.
- Work closely with new product development engineers with an appropriate design for test mentality.
- Understand product features and requirements to develop appropriate production tests.
- Devise a production test strategy including hardware and software design.
- Coordinate with electrical and mechanical engineers and technicians to create production test fixtures.
- Interface with domestic and overseas manufacturing teams to balance test requirements against assembly/test time and manufacturability.
- Help support engineering builds in manufacturing to create early prototypes and get necessary feedback to refine the test and manufacturing process.
- Balance quality requirements and production line yields to help produce high quality and cost effective products.
- Perform statistical analysis from sample builds to set appropriate test limits for production.
- Create documentation necessary to support production test software and manufacturing processes.
- Transition production test fixtures and software to manufacturing through successful pilot builds and training of manufacturing engineers.
- Support existing production software.
- Look for ways to continuously improve the processes, skills, team environment and tools necessary to bring product to the market.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, a related discipline, or equivalent experience required.
- 3+ years of experience developing production tests related to new product development required.
- Proficiency in programming languages and software development tools to create production test software (e.g., Microsoft Visual Studio, Labview, PLCs, etc.).
- Proficiency troubleshooting software/hardware problems relating to production test.
- Familiarity with basic electronics and digital interfaces to create production test plans for IoT and electromechanical products.
- Proficiency in basic statistics and applicable tools to analyze production test data to derive appropriate test limits.
- Motivated self-starter comfortable working on an agile development team and proactively advancing the frontier of progress.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) as well as interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with various disciplines throughout the organization.
- Ability/willingness to travel 10-15%, including internationally.
Additional Information
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $81,000 USD - $124,300 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
