Test Specialist

Munich Re America Services, Inc. seeks a Test Specialist for its Amelia, OH location.

Duties: Collaborate with analysis team, product owner, and architect on requirements and design documents and based on that create and review test strategy, test scenarios, and test cases with the team. Estimate effort and timeline for testing. Create test data as needed in transactional systems and XML files. Run queries/reports to validate data in database tables and reports. Document results of test cases. Document, report on, and monitor defects found and test case status. Coordinate work with offshore testing team. Participate in scrum ceremonies, including daily stand ups, sprint planning, sprint demonstrations, and sprint retrospectives. Demonstrate a high level of overall domain knowledge and relate business processes to existing organizational data. Use data analysis and analytical problem-solving skills to make sense of the data and information.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Data Science/Analytics, Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field plus 3 years of work experience as a Test Specialist/Analyst/Engineer, QA Analyst, or closely related position. Candidate's prior work experience must include: Data warehousing testing using relational databases, including 3rd normal form and star schemas; Using SQL to retrieve and validate data; Using XML to create and execute test cases; Applied knowledge of property & casualty insurance; Applied knowledge of data flow from transactional system to reporting system to validate test cases; Creating test plans, strategies, estimates, and design; Applied knowledge of Agile and scrum methodologies; and, Defect tracking. May telecommute but must have ability to report Amelia, OH office 2 times per week. The base salary range anticipated for this position is $129,910 to $129,910 per year plus opportunity for company bonus based upon a percentage of eligible pay.
