ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES and KPI’s:

1. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties. Please describe the standard KPI’s used to measure performance in the role. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
2. Under general supervision, performs mostly routine and some non-routine maintenance and repair work according to established procedures.
3. Sets up or adjusts complex equipment according to manufacturing specifications.
4. Identifies and implements opportunities of process optimization.
5. Troubleshooting, repair, regular maintenance and preventative maintenance of plant equipment and facilities.
6. Perform timely equipment change-over’s as required by productions schedule
7. Assists in maintenance of an established P.M. schedule on assigned equipment.
8. Assist in equipment rebuilding activities. Reviews assigned equipment and performs the rebuilding of the project.
9. Assist operators on equipment set-ups to ensure proper operations
10. Requisitions for parts, components, supplies and equipment to be used in the maintenance area.
11. Provides training to plant personnel in the control of equipment and processes
12. Ensures reliability of machinery and equipment by completing preventive maintenance on machinery and systems.
13. Performs tasks including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of equipment.
14. Reads and interprets equipment manuals, diagrams, sketches, engineering specifications, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
15. Uses hand tools and measuring instruments to determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts.
16. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hand and power tools.
17. Works closely with external contractors and ensures the quality of delivered services and products.
18. Adheres to all plant safety policies and participates in plant-wide safety, housekeeping, Operational Excellence, and Lean Manufacturing programs.
19. Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, and CERTIFICATIONS:

• Associate’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical field; or High School diploma/GED with 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience; or High School diploma/GED.
• Minimum 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience required.
• Mechanical and electrical repair knowledge.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Demonstrates ability to operate machines, hand-tools and electrical equipment.
• Possesses an operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Demonstrates ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and work orders.
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills with practical, mechanical, and electrical aptitude.
• Possesses basic troubleshooting experience and proven skills in machine repair.
• Knowledge of pump internals and rebuilding including bearings, seals, sleeves, etc. Proper installation and removal
• Demonstrates strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Welding, machining and fabrication experience a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.
• Experience in trouble shooting and equipment maintenance of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and robotics problems on automated equipment.
• Regularly required to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ablility to read and understand Operation Standards, blue prints, maintenance and equipment manuals, etc.
• PLC programming experience highly desirable.
