Field Maintenance Tech

Snelling Staffing is hiring a Field Maintenance Tech for the North Canton Area

• Weekly pay based on Experience
• Education: High school diploma or GED Experience:
• 6 months of related experience in construction, landscaping, maintenance, etc.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, Class B CDL preferred, or willing to obtain within 18 months.
• State of Ohio Fire Fighter Certification and First Aid preferred, or willing to obtain within 12 months.

Aptitude to learn to use and operate heavy equipment safely. Computer Skills: None Equipment Used: Company vehicles, maintenance trucks, dump trucks, snow plows, fire trucks, runway brooms, ramp loaders, snow blower, leaf blower, commercial mowers, fire extinguishers, pike poles, hand lines, smoke ejectors, salvage covers, and forcible entry tools

Working Conditions / Physical Demands: The work is performed in a field environment. The incumbent must be able to tolerate inclement weather conditions and be able to be exposed to heat or cold, rain, snow, humidity, noise, and hazards on a regular basis, and occasionally to heights and confined spaces. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently, required to stand; walk; use hands to grasp, feel, and handle objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs and ladders; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; push; pull; talk or hear. The incumbent may be required to crawl occasionally. The employee must regularly lift or move objects weighing 50 to 75 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
