INTECON LLC is seeking a Modeling & Simulation Specialist to support the Air Force National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC).
This position will provide expert-level support in developing, validating, and applying modeling & simulation (M&S) to evaluate adversary capabilities, threat systems, and engagement scenarios. The role integrates advanced computational methods, verification and validation processes, and collaboration with Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) partners.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop, manage, and guide M&S programs characterizing adversary threat systems and engagement scenarios.
• Conduct Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) of models to ensure accuracy and compliance with government requirements.
• Apply modeling expertise in areas such as:
  • Sensors and weapon systems performance
  • Air, space, missile, and cyber threat characterization
  • Physics-based and phenomenology-driven simulations
• Integrate AI/ML approaches and advanced analytics to enhance M&S capability.
• Support technical intelligence production through simulated scenarios, data exploitation, and validation of operational use cases.
• Collaborate with government, contractors, and IC teams to define requirements, assess solutions, and brief senior stakeholders.
• Provide technical reports, white papers, and oral briefings on M&S outcomes to NASIC leadership.
• Support the preparation of monthly progress reports, status updates, and deliverables in alignment with contractual requirements.

Clearance Requirements:

• Active Top Secret/SCI at time of hire; must be able to maintain TS/SCI eligibility and comply with polygraph if required.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field; advanced degree / certifications preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years hands-on experience in modeling, simulation, or verification/validation.
• Demonstrated ability to design, test, and evaluate models of foreign military systems.
• Experience with DoD or IC M&S programs preferred.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C++ or other M&S software/tools.
• Experience in data fusion, trajectory reconstruction, and scenario modeling.
• Familiarity with AI/ML integration into M&S frameworks.
• Strong technical writing and briefing skills; ability to work in cross-functional teams and present findings to senior leadership.
• Support the preparation of monthly progress reports, status updates, and deliverables in alignment with contractual requirements.
